She was predeceased by: her parents, Myles Buffington and Flora Buffington; her sister Wanda Louise Quinn; and her husband Stephen Elbridge Cowden. She is survived by: her children, Susan M. Epler of Hummelstown and Stephen M. Cowden; her children-in-law, Karie Cowden of Phoenix, AZ and Michael Epler; and her granddaughters, Meghan Epler of Lancaster and Emma.
A graduate of John Harris High School, Kathy began her career with PP&L before working with the American Cancer Society.
