She is survived by: her children, Khloey, Khayla and Khayden; her parents, Robert Summers and Rebecca Summers; her sister Angela; and her brother-in-law Darryl Mendoza.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Melissa's honor to organizations supporting pancreatic cancer research or hospice care, so her legacy of care and compassion can continue to help others.
