He was predeceased by: his adoptive father Dan (Thelma Taylor); his wife Melva Edith Loback; his daughter-in-law Rochelle; his grandchildren, Jenni Sue and Tyson Cardan; and his siblings, Mary, Martha and Dan.
He is survived by: his children, Richard C (Rochelle), Michaelle Johnson (Dave), Michael L (Mariann) and Sheryease Pearson; and his brother Michael Jan (Carolyn). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren (+ 3 on the way); his youngest.
