He was predeceased by: his parents, Metz Smith and Thelma Smith. He is survived by: his children, Heidi Dixon, Kaitlin Smith and Benjy Smith; and his siblings, Ben Smith (Alice), Marcel Smith (Robbyn), Randy Smith (Christina), Connie Kiesel (Lane), Sylva Lamont (Niel), Myrna Hammer (Earnie) and Amy Paxman (Rick).
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Nelson Family Mortuary (4780 N University Ave, Provo, UT 84604).
In keeping with Roland's faith, let us remember the words from the Book of Mormon, Alma 7: 23-24, "And see ye have faith, hope and charity, and then ye will always be bound in good works.".
