He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Burt Cooley and Doris Cooley; his wife Tove Tverdal; and his sons, Michael and Burton Cooley of Seattle's Eastside. He was also cherished by Sisters, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many other extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bellevue Boys & Girls Club in Ronald's honor.
