He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Abraham Walton (Tom) and Florilda Emma Lyman (Bobbie); his wife Wilma Noreen Toone; his sisters, Ellen, Emma, Clara and Sandra Walton; his sons, Eric Dee Walton and James Glen Walton; and his great grandchild Angel Ferris.

He is survived by: his children, Thomas Walton, Bruce Walton, Carolee Ferris (Terry), William "Bill" Walton (Wendy), Kristine Brown and Laurie Sorensen (Bill); and his sister Pauline Walton Shaw. He is also survived by 39 grandchildren, and 60+ great grandchildren.

Viewing was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Edgemont 4th Ward Chapel (4056 Timpview Dr, Provo, UT 84604). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Edgemont 4th Ward (4056 Timpview Dr, Provo, UT 84604). A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:15 PM to 12:15 AM and on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 11:15 PM to 12:15 AM at the Eastlawn Memorial (4800 N 650 E St, Provo, UT 84604).
