William Edward Barry Mayo Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of William Edward Barry Mayo (Provo, Utah). William, born on April 1, 1930, passed away on August 31, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember William for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. William’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences he brought to the world.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Verena Haney Mayo and Reginald Sydney Mayo; his wife Helene; and his granddaughters, Helene Puskas Mayo (Reginald), Verena Mayo (Ronald Mayo) and Rayna Perry.
He is survived by: his children, David Mayo (Kathleen), Ilona Perry (Jim), Robert Mayo (Karin) and Paula Mayo. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (303 W 3700 N, Provo, UT 84604).
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to: Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.
