She was predeceased by: her husband David Jay Nielson August; her parents, Helen Zabriskie and Mayo Zabriskie; her parents-in-law, Phillip and Renee Nielson; and her sister Orla Gae Zabriskie.

She is survived by: her son Matthew (Sam Nielson) of Richfield; her grandsons, Rylan and Hendrix Nielson of Richfield; her sisters, Debra (Doug Heideman) and Vanetta (Vance Brinkerhoff); and her sister-in-law Pam.
