With sadness, we share the passing of Gary Rodney Stoddard (Riverton, Utah). Gary passed away on September 5, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Eleanor Brown and George Francis Stoddard; and his brother G. Lee Stoddard. He is survived by: his wife Sydney Osterloh Stoddard; his children, Brooke Stoddard Vargas (Eric) and Cody George Stoddard; his grandchildren, Elise Vargas, Evan Vargas, Brielle Vargas and Oliver Scott Crawford; his sister Debbie Stoddard Draney (Dee); and his uncle Kent G Stoddard (Sharon). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM at the World Ward. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Riverton City Cemetery (1500 W 13200 S, Riverton, UT 84065).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Gary's memory to the Alzheimer's Association to support research and care.
