Jean Stocking Newman Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Stocking Newman (Riverton, Utah), who passed away on July 18, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Stocking and Mary Hamilton Stocking; her husband Laury Ronald Newman; and her brother Dick Stocking. She is survived by: her siblings, Sue Davis (Bob), Craig Stocking (Jolayne), Jan Svedin (Wilson) and Joan Lybbert (Don); her brother-in-law Tom Newman; and her children, Kerry (Julie), Wade (Annette), Todd (Machelle), Jill Hightower (Mike) and Chad (Allison).
Viewing will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Chapel (12574 1700 W, Riverton, UT 84065).
