He was predeceased by : his parents, William Arthur and Myrtle Rosalie Johnson Shell; his former life partner Marian Ruth Stricler; and his siblings, William, Delbert, Rodney, Laura, Dorothy and Catherine.

He is survived by : his wife Colleen; and his children, Janet Norman, Steven Shell (Norma), David Shell (Janna), Lydia Oversby (Charles), Ray Page, Colette Hunter (Glen), Drew Page (Kay) and Sam Page (Pam). He is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
