Opal leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Opal’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Opal will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Zelda Burgoyne Turpin and Clifton Douglas Turpin; her husband Elvy Delos Bunyard; and her sister Elsie Cundiff Sullivan. She is survived by: her siblings, Shirley Peacock Simonian and Doug Turpin; and her children, Deborah Hunter (Robert), Darla Shusta (Daniel) and Cliff Bunyard. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Broomhead Funeral Home (12600 South 2200 W, Riverton, UT 84065).
