He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold E. Bluemel and Violet L. Felter; his wife Phyllis; his siblings, Harold Bluemel (Afton) and Lucille Bonham; and his daughter-in-law Melanie Bluemel.

He is survived by: his children, Marona Supan (Shuril) of Farr West, UT, Cari Boren (Jeff) of Morgan, UT, Ryan Bluemel of Roy, UT and Lana Barker (Greg) of Hooper, UT.; and his siblings, Florin Bluemel (Beverly), Lorna Loftus (Darrell) and Shannon Hadley. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
