He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Aschliman and Nadine Brown Aschliman; and his sister Kay. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Robinson; his children, Christy (Richard), Rob (Heidi) and Ryan (Amy); and his brothers, Bruce, Brian and Miles. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren.
