He was predeceased by: his parents, Ada Shurtz and John Roy Franklin; and his wife Erma. He is survived by: his children, Bonnie Barker (Bruce), Gail Salmond (Lonn), Ned Franklin (Deanna), Diane Worthen (Steve) and Gary Franklin; and his sisters, Shirlean Paiz and Margie Tucker. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
