It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Orvell Newsome (Roy, Utah), who passed away on May 15, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Newsome and Leona Newsome; his wife Monica Newsome; his son Rodney Orvell Newsome (Janet Newsome); his stepchildren, Jacob Smith, Gwen Ehrlich (James Ehrlich) and Jimmy Smith (Rebecca White); and his grandchildren, James Fisher, Maurice Orvell Newsome, Jaquan Newsome, Anthony Lewis and Rianna Newsome.
James also volunteered as a driver, transporting cancer patients to and from appointments for the American Cancer Road to Recovery Program at McKay-Dee Hospital.
