He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Mae Erb and John Raymond Freideman; his brothers, John and Kenneth Freideman; and his close friend Oly Barela.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Piper; his children, Donna Gray (Mike) of West Haven, UT, Tammy Freideman (Collin) of Eden, UT, Rusty Freideman (Maria) of Sunset, UT, Tim Freideman of West Point, UT, Jesse Freideman of Roy, UT and Patrick Freideman of Ogden, UT; and his siblings, Diane "Bootsie" Freideman, William "Bill" Freideman, Susan Nini (Paul), Thomas "Tom" Freideman (Diane), Linda Gibbs (Thomas), Janet Cordova (John) and David Freideman. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and several great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations can be made to Jim's widow Karen Freideman.
