With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jay Smith (Roy, Utah), who passed away on May 25, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Jay departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Jay may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Jay leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland Smith and Blanche Smith; his wife Bonnie Smith; his sister Helen Smith; his brother-in-law Don Oborn; and his great grandchild Jax Pixton.
He is survived by: his sister Margene Oborn; and his children, Scott Smith (Angie), Craig Smith, Shauna Pixton (Kord) and Julie Holley (Will). He is also survived by 24 Grandchildren, 18 Great-Grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Roy 11th Ward (2175 W 4250 S, Roy, UT 84067). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
