He was predeceased by: his parents, José Muñiz and Ana Maria Silva; and his sister Rafaela Muñiz Colin. He is survived by: his wife Guadalupe Amaya; and his daughters, Anita Cottam (Tom), Alicia Cottam and Patricia Parra (Ruben). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
