He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Virginia Latimer and Cecil Blake; his wife Kathleen McAllister Blake; his children, Suzanne Blake Valentine (Gary), Cary Evan Blake (Brenda), Derick Cecil Blake (Ronda), Jason John Blake (ALee), Lana Blake Parker (Jeremy) and Alex Benjamin Blake (Marjorie); and his brother Ronald Blake (Shirley). He was also cherished by 30 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.
