He was predeceased by: his parents, Grant Edwin Barnes and Gwenth Marie Holt; his brother Brent Edwin Barnes; and his grandsons, Brady Monson and Ethan Roberts.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Gale Barnes; and his children, Julie Denise Volny (Vlad), Cindy Lee Roberts (Joel) and Kevin Grant Barnes (Sarah). He is also survived by his three brothers, one sister, 12 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Hughes Mortuary (1037 E 700 S, St. George, UT 84790). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Kanab City Cemetery (26 N 100 E, Kanab, UT 84741).
