He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Stanley Short and Elaine Short; his wife Tanya; his sons, Jeff (Lee) and Darren (Teresa); his stepchildren, Natasha Wagoner (Matt), Sheila Ewell (Adam), Patrick Powell (Shawnelle) and Easton Powell; his grandchildren, Aaron, Mikael, Austin, Meghan, Cameron and Spencer; his siblings, Raymond (Margaret), Stanley (Julie), Melvin (Vickie), Elaine (Steve), Maureen (George) and Valerie (Drew); his former wife Connie; and his son Kirk. He was also cherished by ten step-grandchildren.
