She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur G. Anderson and Theora C. Anderson; her sons, Max Edward and Arthur Kent; and also Cherrill Anderson.

She is survived by: her husband Max Ostler; and her children, Darrell (Susan) and Carla Armstrong. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one sweet little great, great granddaughter.
