He was predeceased by: his parents, George Leslie Syme and Janice Warthen; his wife JoAnn Saxey; his son Ed Syme; his great grandchild Makayla Golding; and his sisters, Shirley Sheets, Georgia Syme and Ilene Horton.
He is survived by: Joyce Dade, Rick Syme (Lori), Judy Harward (Dan), Kate Stratton (Clay) and Roy Syme (Tanya). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
