Henry Anthony Knowlton Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Henry Anthony (Tony) Knowlton (Saint George, Utah), born in Hurricane, Utah, who passed away on March 7, 2018, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Henry Anthony (Tony) Knowlton to pay them a last tribute. You may also light a candle in honor of Henry Anthony Knowlton.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 17th 2018 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints - Meetinghouse (750 East Ft Pierce Drive St George, UT 84790). A burial was held on Saturday, October 10th 2020 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hurricane City Cemetary (255 E 600 N. Hurricane, UT 84737). The reason for the delay in Tony's obituary posting was due to the uncertainty of where Tony's remains would be interred, which occurred at the gravesite of his blessed mother, Darla Covington Knowton Stubbs.

Tony was born September 16, 1964 to Horace John Knowlton and Darla Covington Knowlton, Tony grew up in Murray, Utah as the sixth of fifteen children. Known for his beautiful contagious smile, he loved being up in the mountains camping & hiking, and doing outdoor sports. He also loved the ocean, and running marathons. But as much as he greatly loved these things, it was not nearly as much as he loved his family and close friends. He went on to serve honorably in the United States Navy for 6 years, serving in the Gulf war. Following his time in the Navy, Tony went on to become a master electrician. His two children, Daniel and Mika Knowlton, and his newlywed wife Julie Lyn Ganowsky Knowlton were the best parts of his life. He worked hard to make a good life for them.

Tony is predeceased by his father Horace John Knowlton and step father Joseph Demar Stubbs. Tony was survived by his former wife Vickie Lee Ivison, Marita Stoneking (mother of Daniel and Mika), Carlette J Knowlton; as well as his wife Julie Lyn Ganowsky Knowlton (recently passed away May 15, 2020), his son Daniel Knowlton and daughter Mika Knowlton, his mother Darla Covington Knowlton Stubbs (recently passed away October 5, 2020), his siblings Marcia Knowlton Riseman, Diane Knowlton Vincent, Charles Knowlton, Melody Knowlton, Julia Knowlton Iverson, Sean Knowlton, Rachel Knowlton Shepherd, Norman Knowlton Aaron, Wendy Knowlton Vincent, Don Knowlton, Renon Knowlton Barnum, Brian Knowlton, Iris Knowlton Wright, and Kevin Knowlton. And 44 nephews and nieces and many in-laws who miss him dearly.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Tony's sister, Melody Knowlton. After Tony's death, Mel provided Tony's wife Julie (who was dying of stage 4 cancer) tremendous support and companionship in the last year and a half of her life.
