He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Renna; and his stepchildren, Mike Whittington (Liz), Mark Whittington, Julie Whittington Hanson (Steve Hanson) and Jon Whittington (Neige). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
