The family announces the passing of James Hornsby of Saint George, Utah on September 17, 2026. James, born on January 25, 1955, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Keith R. Hornsby and Irene Hornsby (Reich); his son Daniel; his brothers, Roger and John; and his nephew Michael.
He is survived by: his wife Nanette Strong; his daughter Alicia (Cameron); and his grandchildren, Mailee of St. George, Ashtyn (Bridger) of St. George, Haylee of St. George and Tayah of St. George. He is also survived by many sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the White Memorial Chapel (150 E 300 N, Salt Lake City, UT 84103). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Salt Lake City Cemetery (200 N St E, Salt Lake City, UT 84103).
Parkinson's could change his body and take away so much of what he was able to do, but it could never take away the laughter he brought into our lives or the love we will carry with us forever. We will always remember Dad for who he was-not for what Parkinson's took from him.
