He was predeceased by: his parents, Olga Gautz and Theodore Kennedy; and his siblings, Donald, Lee, Glen, Mary Ellen, Jean and Theodore.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his children, John Jr. Kennedy (Ida), Michele Willoughby (Scott), Mike Kennedy (Angie) and Dave Kennedy (Kim); his siblings, Carolyn Klaege (Earl) and David Kennedy (Marlene); his sister-in-law Sharon Wineman (Jack); his grandchildren, Ashley McJunkin (Nathan) and Ellie Kennedy; and his great grandchild Luke McJunkin.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Tonaquint Cemetery (1777 S Dixie Dr, St. George, UT 84770).
