She is survived by: her husband Joseph Gerace; her children, Alexander Gerace of Portland and Laila Gerace of Salt Lake City; her brothers, Hakim Akbar, Ismael Akbar of Australia, Rahim Akbar and Jamila Akbar Hassan of California; her aunt Shahnaz (Carolina); and her cousins, Wajmakay, Waleed, Ali, Wali, Khalil, Wahida, David, Bobby and Gina. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hughes Mortuary (1037 E 700 S, St. George, UT 84790). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Tonaquint Cemetery (1777 S Dixie Dr, St. George, UT 84770).
