He was predeceased by: his parents, George Aaron Hoecherl and Ethel Alberta Openshaw; and his brothers, George Ramon, Arthur William and Larry Jay Hoecherl.
He is survived by: his former wife Patricia Aaron; his wife Patti Hoecherl (Aaron); and his daughters, Nicole Thompson, Leslie Smith and Kari Randleas (Gary). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
