With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Loren Eugene Nelson of Saint George, Utah, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 16, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Loren Eugene Nelson to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid adieu to Loren's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Loren has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leonard Nelson and Inez Nelson (Myrmoe); his sister Bev Nelson of Brandon; his wife Charleen "Cherie" Nelson (Austin); his children, Lori Sorensen of Eagan, Minnesota, Brad Nelson of Buffalo, Minnesota and Leah Jane Laub (LaDel) of St. George, Utah.; and his niece Denise Deutsch of Lakeville, Minnesota.. He was also cherished by 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church (405 E 3rd St, Colton, SD 57018).
