He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Viola Alt and Robert Coleman Shifflet. He is survived by: his wife Gwen Shifflet of St. George, Utah; his children, Lowell Kent Shifflet II of Mesa Arizona, Susan V. Summers (Brad) of St George Utah, Julie C. Amon (Christopher) of Las Vegas Nevada, Darrell R. L. Shifflet (Renee) of Mesa Arizona and Mary E. Conley (Clif) of Mesa Arizona; and the mother of his children Judith Ferrer-Johnston. He is also survived by his 21 grandchildren and 6 darling great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Green Valley First Ward Building (511 Valley View Dr, St. George, UT 84770). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Tonaquint Cemetery (1777 S Dixie Dr, St. George, UT 84770).
