She was predeceased by: her parents, John George Simpson and Edith Elizabeth Hardy; and her daughter Julie. She is survived by: her husband Clyde R. Hammer; her son Paul (Lisa); and her grandsons, Austin (Tiffany), Alan (Alexa), Bryce, Parker and Matthew. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
