He was predeceased by : his parents, Milan Swilor and Marie Swilor; his sisters, Wanda and Ruth; his son Russell J.; and his grandson Russell I..

He is survived by : his nephew Ethan; his wife Lorraine Ripley; his siblings, James (Marcia) and Jackie Tuckett; his children, Milan J. (Kelli), Mitchell and Julie Hunt; and his daughter-in-law Shanda. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and his nieces and nephews.

Viewing was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary (1950 Dimple Dell Ln, Sandy, UT 84092). A graveside service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
