He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Porter, Jr. and Cecelia Mae Rogers; his brother Robert "Lee"; and his granddaughter Nila Christine Garner. He is survived by: his daughter Jolaine Dawn Porter-Slemboski (James); his grandsons, Russell Thomas Garner (Ashley) and Joseph William Garner; his great grandchild Jocelyn Rochelle Garner; and his extended family, Helen Marie Maas, Bryan Elhardt (Lynne), Jesse Elhardt and Jade Elhardt.
