He was predeceased by: his parent Shirley Jane Peterson; his daughter Molly; his father Robert Peterson; and his sister Dana Kristen Elliott. He is survived by: his wife Becky; his children, Chris (Jennifer), Ben (Soña), Melissa (Aaron) and Jon (Janae); his brothers, Robert, Paul and Brian; and his friend Steve Peterson. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (1762 S River Rd, St. George, UT 84790). A burial will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Tonaquint Cemetery (1777 S Dixie Dr, St. George, UT 84770).
In his later years, Steve fought a long and increasingly difficult battle with Parkinson's disease.
