She was predeceased by: her parents, Max L. Peterson and Mildred Crowther Peterson; and her brother Ellis Peterson. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Heaps; her children, Shannon Heaps (Tammy), Monroe, Tony Heaps (Jeannine), Kim White (Paul), LaVerkin, Ricky Heaps and Salina; her sister Maxine Carroll (Wayne); and her sister-in-law Merlene Peterson. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren 18 great-grandchildren; and many step-grandchildren.
