He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Ellen Frances Compton Smith; his children, Bruce, MD, Daniel, Stephen and Korea; and his parents, Lloyd Gaston Smith and Lucy Winnifrid Fairhall. He was also cherished by 34 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
