She was predeceased by: her parents, Lorenzo Garcia and Juanita Garcia; her husband Joseph I. Chavez; her sons, Stephen Chavez, Vernon I. Chavez, Mark E. Chavez and Dennis J. Chavez; and her siblings, Antonio Garcia (Tony), Ciprianita Torres (Elsie), Jose Garcia (Joe), Christina Garcia and Ernest Garcia (Ernie).
She is survived by: her daughter Later; her grandson Damien Chavez; her children, Damien Chavez, Loretta G. Buffano and Elsie O. Woodahl (Lisa); her grandchildren, Michael Chavez, Stefan Chavez, Tiffanee White, Jesika Chavez-England and Matthew Chavez; her brothers, Federico Garcia (Fred), Abel Garcia (Abe), Tiburcio Garcia (Tim) and Eugene Garcia (Gene); CeCe (Joe), Loretta and Lisa. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. George Catholic Church (259 W 200 N, St. George, UT 84770). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at the Tonaquint Cemetery (1777 S Dixie Dr, St. George, UT 84770).
