It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Denis Pingree Smith (Salt Lake City, Utah), who passed away on July 26, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Fielding and Ruth Pingree Smith. He is survived by: his children, Shauna Zukle, Kevin Smith (Liz), Ida Anderson, Denis Smith (Denise) and Marshall Smith (Alison); his former wives, Nancy Lingler Smith and Ruth B. Smith; and also, R. P. Joe Smith and Pauline S. J. Zaugg. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 4 (soon to be 5) great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM and at 9:45 AM at the LDS Chapel (4355 W Cedar Hills Dr, Cedar Hills, UT 84062). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Innichement Memorial (1950 Dimple Dell Ln, Sandy, UT 84092).
