With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Edgar J. Thompson (Salt Lake City, Utah), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Louise Kirkham (Naisbitt) and Joseph Stoddart Kirkham; his sister Cathy; his daughter Liese Checketts; and his grandson Chistopher Greco.
He is survived by: his parent-in-law Glen Edward Thompson; his daughters, Robyn and Cathy; his grandchild Thomas; his wife Carol Joanne Anderson of Long Beach; his daughters, Lara Lloyd (Park), Leslie Wagner (Ted), Leigh Anne Greco (Scott) and Lindsay Bos (Troy); his son-in-law Scott Checketts; and his siblings, Stephen Thompson (Debbie), Robyn Bechthold (Gene), Stephen Carey and Thomas Thompson.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Edgar J. Thompson Music Education Scholarship at the University of Utah School of Music.
