She was predeceased by: her parents, Engelbert Wilhelm Schmitz and Caroline Anna Grappendorf; her husband Walter Michaelis; and her son Scott Michaelis. She is survived by: her daughter Karin Michaelis Farnsworth; her son-in-law Lyn Farnsworth; her grandchildren, Alec (Christi), Paal, Stephen, Kevin (Nyssa), Robert, Brian (Maryn), Kirsten, Gillian, Jennifer, Benjamin and Rachel Cleverly (Benjamin); and her great grandchildren, Walter and Cassie.
Viewing was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Holbrook Mortuary (3251 S 2300 E, Salt Lake City, UT 84109). A graveside service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park (1750 E 3300 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84106).
