He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin A. Astill and Deon Bishop; his sister Bonnie Kay; his wife Dorothy; his grandson Teancum; and his sisters-in-law, Peggy and Winona.
He is survived by: his children, Dane (Deanna), Michael (Amy) and Ginger (Dan); his son-in-law Chris Haywood; and his brothers, Jerry, Mark (Helen) and Randy. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
