He is survived by: his children, Crystal Peters (Dan), Jeremy Checketts (Karley), Shawn Checketts (Amanda), Wendy Meibos and Mike Freestone; and his siblings, Sandy, Denese, Gus, Dirk and Cameron. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (6710 W 4145 S, West Valley City, UT 84128).
