She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick H. Schmidt and Frieda B. Schmidt; her husband Jesse Clinton Bown Jr.; her sister Gerda Smith; and her son Michael.
She is survived by: her children, Jessica Nottingham and Larry Bown (Savittrey); and her sisters, Evelyn Petersen (Victor) and Adeline "Eddie" Mosher (Cameron). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
