She was predeceased by: her parents, Theron Sims and Afton Taylor Sims. She is survived by: her husband Nelson S. Ames; her children, Shelley VanTassell (Kevin) and Patrick Ames (Dawn); and her siblings, Sharon Meik (late Ray), Forrest Sims (Mona) and Robyn Thomas (late Buck Hanson). She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
