He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Meletios Benardis and Brunhilde Gerwien. He is survived by: his sister Katherine Yalanzon; his son Christopher (Makiko); his grandsons, Kojun and Joseph; and his niece Nancy Keith (Ron).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
