He is survived by: his wife Barbara Abbott; his children, Daniel, Mary Beth, Ruth, Rebecca (Rushton), Sarah (Gwyn) and David; and his brothers, Anthony and Michael. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
