He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Sheldon Smith and Ella Blanche Brough Grace; his son Shane Sherwin Smith; and his sister Geraldine Smith McClellan. He is survived by: his wife Lynne Smith; his children, Troy Smith and Shannon Smith (Kirk); and his siblings, Sheridan Sheldon Smith (Gay) and Patricia Whetman. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Memorial Mountain View Mortuary (3115 Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121).
