He was predeceased by: his father Wilbur Dale "Jim" Vanderpool; his son Morgan; his mother Virginia Vanderpool; and his siblings, David and Joanne Conroy (Charles).
He is survived by: his wife Sammie; his daughter Alexandra (Pepper); and his brother Clifford Vanderpool (Tara). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to Pets for Patriots which partners with Salt Lake County Animal Services to help veterans adopt a dog or cat.
